Do not compare 3100 ISO and 3300 ANSI as one ranking

The brightness numbers use different named standards. Keep the labels attached and avoid concluding that the BenQ is automatically brighter because 3300 is numerically larger than 3100. Screen size and room light also matter.

BenQ has the more flexible lens system

X3100i’s 1.15–1.50 throw range, 1.3x optical zoom and vertical lens shift give a permanent installation more adjustment options. HORIZON S Max uses a fixed 1.2:1 throw with digital zoom and automated geometry tools.

For a 120-inch 16:9 image, XGIMI needs roughly 10.5 feet lens-to-image. BenQ can cover approximately 10.0–13.1 feet across its throw range.

XGIMI reduces setup friction

Automatic focus, screen alignment, obstacle avoidance and an integrated stand make XGIMI convenient when the projector moves or the room changes. BenQ rewards more deliberate placement but gives the installer more optical control.
