HORIZON S Max review
Editorial note: this is a specification- and documentation-based review. We do not claim hands-on testing or ownership of this projector.
The HORIZON S Max is a bright 4K home projector with a fixed 1.2:1 throw ratio and a relatively compact all-in-one form factor. Its strongest fit is a conventional room where you can place the projector at the correct distance and want strong manufacturer-rated brightness without moving to a ceiling-mounted large chassis.

Where it makes sense
- Bright-room-oriented home theater setups with reasonable light control
- 4K streaming rooms where a fixed 1.2:1 throw works physically
- Casual console gaming where the listed ≤20 ms game-mode latency is acceptable
Important limitations
- A fixed 1.2:1 throw offers less placement flexibility than optical-zoom models.
- 3100 ISO lumens should not be compared numerically to ANSI-lumen ratings without acknowledging the different measurement standard.
- Competitive gamers may prefer models with lower published 4K/60 input lag.
